Biotherm Age Fitness Power 2 Ultra Smoothing Concentrate
by superness11
If my boyfriend's parents ever by me a present for my birthday or Christmas, it will often be a Biotherm product as his mum swears by them and although I enjoy using them; they are far too expensive to be buying all the time. That is what birthdays and Chirstmas is for! I do like natural products and having quite sensitive skin, it is ... always best for me to choose better quality products that contain natural ingredients as they are gentler on my delicate skin. This bottle was bought for me recently and it is really good quality. If I had the money to splash out on buying this all the time then I would do it as it soothes my skin and makes my face feel fresh and ready to face the day.
===Price and availability==
This item costs around £40. You are paying more because of the Brand name. They use really pure, natural ingredients that are proven to have skin benefits. You can buy this from Debenhams and other department stores.
==Glamorous from exterior to interior==
The bottle is beautifully sculpted and the plastic pump is easy to dispense. I do enjoy a pump action cream as I find that the pump measures the amount out so you do not accidently get too much and it is the most hygienic way of getting it dispensed. The product which calls itself a concentrate is quite thin, really cool and extremely smooth. It is more like a gel than a cream but it is really light weight. It goes on so smoothly that all you feel is a slight tingle as the cool air dries it quickly. The product dries without being sticky. The skin instantly feels rejuvenated and fresh. It is a really good product for tired skin as it feel like it is injecting life in to it. The concentrate formula contains natural light diffusers that should decrease the appearance of fine lines and dark circles. It also contains pure olive leaf concentrate and pure olive extracts.
Olive leaf extract is a wonderful ingredient as it promotes faster healing and contains anti oxidants. I do get a few spots on my skin and I like to think that the product helps the scars clear up quicker and clears up my breakout. When I used the product I did notice that I was becoming less spotty and they were fading quicker. Olive leaf extract also helps to protect skin form sun damage and it is actually better for you than vitamin E. I like the idea that my skin is benefitting from the wonderful ingredients but I still find the product just a tad overpriced.
The feel of the product is amazing and two pumps is enough to coat the face. I find the best way of putting the product on is to dab the product gently on the skin in a patting motion. This wakes up the skin and it is like you are getting a mini facial. I use this in conjunction to my regular moisturiser.
== Overall==
This is a great product that has a lot to offer. The health benefits speak for themselves and are the real selling point to the product. It is expensive and I wish it was cheaper but when you compare it alongside cheaper concentrates and serums they just cannot compare in quality. I would recommend it but it has a hefty price tag. Saying this, the bottle will last a while and I estimate it lasting 6 months. I used to use a Creme De La Mer serum which again uses natural products and this was £70 so at least I have found a cheaper alternative. Read the complete review |

Biotherm Eau Pure Invigorating Cool Mist
by BlueOcean
I am generally very impressed with Biotherm as brand due to the high quality of their products. However these also come with a very high price tag and so I only ever buy them when I see them on offer. When I received a Debenhams gift voucher I went straight to the Biotherm products and settled on this cool mist which was half price at ... around £12.
It comes in a simple and yet elegant light blue-green 100ml bottle which has a curved shape with a silver lid and white text. The bottle is a little plain given the price and I would have liked packaging that stands out a bit more.
The product is essential a scented body spray. The product sprays out in a fine even mist. It only takes one or two sprays for a good coverage. It instantly feels cooling and fresh when it touches the skin. My skin also feels soft afterwards which I wasn't expecting and is certainly not something you get with cheaper brands such as Sure. I sometimes leave mine in the fridge for while on hot days just to enhance the cooling effect.
The fragrance is gorgeous (which you would expect given the price). I was attracted to the product by the idea that the scent is inspired by a white water cascade which sounds idyllic. The fragrance contains a mix of green tea, lime, sage and kiwi which didn't sound as appealing to me as the white water cascade although when you smell it is a vivid and unique smell. The lime is the strongest scent giving a zingy edge followed by the fruitiness of the kiwi. The calming green tea and sage are very subtle and are a perfect complement to the strength of the lime. It is ideal to use in the summer as it feels very refreshing and soothing. The freshness definitely wakes you up while being light enough to use even on the hottest days. The fragrance lasts a good few hours. I tend to top mine up every 3 hours or so throughout the day. Read the complete review |

Biotherm Oligo-Thermal Sparkle Cream
by BlueOcean
I had heard a lot of good things about Biotherm products and had long wanted to try some but they are always way too expensive. Luckily I saw this on offer at Boots from £20 to £13 some time ago and grabbed it.
The product is actually just an after sun cream with a fancy name. It comes in a simple 200ml tub with a screw-on ... lid which is a lovely bright shade of blue that stands out nicely on my shelf. It lasts me for months although this would depend on whether you used it all over or targeted specific areas as I do. The tub makes the cream very easy to apply and ensures you can use every last bit whereas as in a tube there is often lots left than won't come out without cutting open the container. My only complaint is that it is a bit bulky and heavy when it comes to packing it for a holiday.
To use you just apply the cream to your skin after sun exposure in the same way as you would a normal moisturiser. The aim of this product is primarily for moisturisation. As well as being enriched with pro-vitamin B5 it also contains shea butter and glycerol for hydration and extracts of thermal plankton which apparently provide a soothing feel. These ingredients are supposed to encourage cell regeneration in sun damaged skin. It does feel very cooling and soothing which is great if you are applying to burnt skin. The texture is very creamy and rather thick although once you start rubbing it in it disappears almost straight away and once applied you forget it is on. There is no greasiness or stickiness and my skin always feels soft to touch after using it.
The secondary role of this product and the thing that makes it stand out from other after sun creams is that it enhances a natural tan by giving a healthy, brightening glow to the skin giving it a lovely sparkly shine using sparkly elements and emollient oils. At first the name of the cream made me think it made skin glitter but don't worry, it doesn't! It makes my skin look lovely and I have been very impressed with the effect this cream has on skin. My skin is quite dry but since using this skin the problem has virtually disappeared.
The scent is amazing and lasts for several hours. It is quite a fruity, flowery smell which is made up of a combination of raspberry, peach, jasmine and musk, ideal for summer. The raspberry in particular stands out. Read the complete review |
