      Very helpful

      they love it!

My Red Betta Splenden (or Siamese Fighter) lives in a 5 gallon tank. It has an oriental theme with a stone pagoda ornament, Black stones and red and blue fern plants. At the Tropical fish store where is bougt my beloved Neptune, they said that the just fed his regular fish flakes. When i tried this it, he didn't seem that interested and either spat them out or didnt bother. As Betta fish have uptrned noses that seem designed to scoop their food flakes were not the best feeding option. Then I came across Hikari Betta Bio-Gold.

      Who will like this product:
Betta fish of all kinds, male and female. Ive also feed this product to my neon tetra when they inhabited the same tank. I If you have a community tank I'd feed flakes first and then one or two pellets wherever your betta may be. This product is same for all tropical fish.

      Where to find it:
This product is quite difficult to track down in normal high street pet stores. I get mine at Pets at Home, i think you will be able to buy this product online as well.

      What it cost:
      around £3 for 2.5g.

It comes on a cardboard backing and can be pressed out in order for in to stand up. you can cut the end off in order to get the pellets out on at a time.

      Ingredients list:
Fish meal, wheat flour, soybean meal, gluten meal, krill meal, wheat-germ meal, cuttlefish oil, astaxanthin, brewers dried yeast, enzyme, garlic, monosodium glutamate, vitamins and minerals including stabilized vitamin C.

      How to use:
Feed one to three pellets up to three times daily. I useally feeed twice a day and three each time. These pellets float and so if the betta doesnt eat them you can easily remove. It must be noted that Bettas cannot sense when they are full and wil eat untill there is nothing left, so do not feed too much. Sometimes a betta will take up to 5 days to get use to a new type of food. Perseverance will ensure they get used to it. Also this food will last ages if you do not feed too much.

The pellets are very tiny in order to fit easily into the bettas mouth and are also round. Thy are a inkish brown colour.
this food ensures tht it is rich in natural color enhancers, in order to reduce color fading and its Bio-Technology provides superior color enhancement. This product contains Stabilized Vitamin C which, promotes resistance to stress, promotes resistance to infectious disease, and also promotes a long, healthy life for the fish.

Betta Bio-Gold is a brilliant source oof food for my fish and keeps them in tip top condition id highly recommend that you make this the staple food source for your betta.
