soutram Morphy Richards 48973: ... recently was given a blender by family because I wanted to start feeding my daughter puréed food, it was one they had stuck in their cupboard and no longer used, after about a week of trying to make food with the blender I gave up, as I was only making small portions the blender just would not puree the food properly & it was taking me ages just to make a couple of meals so I decided to invest in a hand blender...

sandemp Cookworks Smoothie Maker
... must admit, I do like my gadgets, especially those that make my life a little easier in the kitchen. The Cookworks Smoothie Maker, was one of those Ooh that s sounds good type of purchases, being basically a blender with sharp (and strong) enough blades to crush ice, I thought it would be more versatile than a bog-standard blender and at under £10 from Argos (at the time of purchase), it seemed to be worth a shot. The smoothie maker itself is very basic white/transparent in colour and looks just like a normal blender with a tap sticking out of the front. It was very easy to fit the various parts together, and it s easy to take apart ready for cleaning. The base unit,...

gallupgal Vita-Mix 5000
... bought this mixer because I was afraid that my four year old son was going to die of scurvy given that he will not eat any veggies or even fruit. The machine absolutely pulverizes carrots into pieces way too small for him to detect in his pizza sauce. I also grind frozen veggies into a fine powder and add them to pancakes and other foods that he will eat. The machine even makes peanut butter! And of course for the grown ups, the margaritas come out as smooth as you can imagine. There are no big chunks of ice to choke on. Safety first! The only thing I don t like is the cleaning. Some foods can stick to the sides such as bananas and it is recommended that you don...

Cat19 Dualit 88815
... love to cook and one household appliance I would be lost without is my Dualit hand blender. Dualit is a brand I trust and as I already have the kettle toaster and large food processor, I bought my hand blender on-line without seeing it in real life first. My items are actually in cream not the chrome shown in dooyoo s picture but it is the same in all other respects. The handle is about nine or ten inches long and much heavier and larger than I had expected from the pictures. In fact I cannot even close my hand around it, but the curved ergonomic design nevertheless makes it comfortable to hold, the material it is in has a soft touch feel to it which helps to ensur...
