great blender for light mixing, would invest in the deluxe version though

found this blender the other day when cleaning through my cupboards and thought of all the times when i used this back in the days. this blender has got to be one of the best blenders i''ve had for usage on light mixes and is very sturdy. the great things about this mixer is that its very convenient to use for blending up light stuff such as a milkshake with a banana although, the Bamix blender is good it still is much slower than the 16,000 top speed of the Deluxe model that now can be bought online. This Mono is only 10,000 rpm and whilst its good, it struggles with more stodgy foods such as very thick soup which i tried preparing when i got it out the cupboard the other day. I noticed that back when i used to use it i didnt try using it as much for things like thick soups as mentioned only for things like a quick banana smoothie with milk. This Bamix Mono is perfect for light use and is ideal for people who will use this a few times a week such as myself back when i always made smoothies with it but if you are an avid cook and want more out of a mixer then take my advice and spend the little extra on the Deluxe version. You will not be disappointed with the mono but you will really adore the deluxe which i am now currently using for processing soups and other things in my kitchen.
