My James Martin hand blender broke this Summer so for my birthday I asked for a new one - I figured I would need a good one which would last as I make a lot of soups and had a baby on the way.
So I asked for the Bosch MSM7700GB which came with some useful extras - Mini chopper, Balloon whisk, mixing beaker with lid.
My husband brought me this as a gift, it was a little pricy at £59.99 but in my opinion the quality of it shows.
They can be brought cheaper now though on Amazon for £49.99.
You have a choice of getting this hand blender in 3 different colours - Red, Silver or Blue. I chose the red to match my recently decorated kitchen even though it's never out on display!! The hand blender dismantles in to small pieces so can be placed in a draw or cupboard for storage.
When this hand blender is at work it is extremely quiet compared to my old James Martin one. Also there is a handy speed variation button on the handle which slides up and down with ease to change the rotation speed.
I use my hand blender to puree my baby's food and make soup and blends with no hassle. It's quick, quiet and leaves no splatters as long and the blender head is kept in the liquid. Once the subject is pureed the blender head detaches at the push of a button to allow for easy cleaning.
The mini chopper is good I have used it for chopping up fresh herbs and nuts which it did in a matter of minuets. Cleaning was simple again the handle detaches allowing the mixing bow to be washed separately. The metal chopper in the centre can easily be removed to safe cleaning.
The whisk attachment is the one attachment I rarely use and I find my manual hand whisk just as good.
I find the whole hand blender and attachments excellent. A very useful gadget to have in the kitchen. It is light weight with a feeling of quality and stability when using.
I would definitely recommend this hand blender over others I have used in the past. 5/5 for me.
