... Multiquick is essentially identical to the bargain basement hand blender, except for the cup attachment which, honestly, I could live without. You can add the cup to your stock pile of drinking receptacles, maybe utilise it for foods with increased spray potential, but it's not much use for anything else. I started off with a value blender from a leading supermarket chain for around £5. My thinking behind this was, how complex a piece of machinery do you need to essentially pulverise food? Then someone bought me the Braun MultiQuick MR 500CA, and when I got over the initial shock of being given a hand blender as a birthday gift I realised I was correct.
