Functionally a great blender but the main unit is flawed. The motor burned out while in warrantee, the replacement motor has been good, but the end connector has totally disintegrated - all the clips have snapped rendering it useless. It's a shame as its a strong, versatile machine and it looks great... But it's not reliable.

      A really useful kitchen appliance

When I bought this I loved it - it's so easy to use for so many things: making soups, milkshakes, chopping nuts, whisking. I even use the food processor part to shred duck in for crispy duck pancakes. I didn't even use all the attachments, but it did everything I needed, and did it quickly.

With a variety of speeds and a boost button for tougher jobs, it did the business, whilst looking the business, and it was easy to clean. The rubberised grip are makes it comfortable to hold and it's weighty enough to feel sturdy but not too heavy that it makes your arm ache. It says on Argos' website that is has a super quiet 700W motor, but I would say that the noise generated when in use is not exactly quiet, but tenable.

Currently it is £34.99 on Argos, which is where I bought it from. The replacement product cover is £7.99 for three years.

A few months ago, disaster struck. One of the plastic catches that hold the attachments onto the handheld unit broke off. I tried to fix it with super glue, which worked for a while..... till another one broke and the first one broke again.

A great product, as long as you're a bit more gentle than me at removing/putting on the blending/whisking/food processor attachments.

I can still use the food processor part (so I can still have my shredded crispy duck), but using the whisk/blender bits is tricky now as they won't stay attached.

I'm hoping to get it replaced as when I bought it from Argos I took out the product insurance. I will get a like-for-like replacement as it is a great appliance, and I'll just have to remember not to be so heavy handed.
