Advantages: Looks cool and futuristic, good if you are a whizz with cooking

Disadvantages: Whisking function was crap and its a bit too complicated.

I use blenders mainly to liquidise my chunky soup into a broth or to mix up stuff for baking.

I bought this one because it looked fancy and had a lot of capacity to it and it came with 2 mixing bowls, one for smoothie looking purposes and one for more meaner blending purposes.

The two coloumns of buttons correspond to the two mixing bowls.

One one side for the blender bowl it will: chop, mix, shred/grate, whisk.
One the other side for the smoothie bowl it will: puree, ice crush, smoothie, blend.

The two bowls both have a 1.5 litre capacity which is great for creating a meal for loads of people... but the the 800w motor for blending can be too advanced and when making soups to suit the chunkier pallette, a few seconds too long on the button means you have puree instead of soup.

It is easy to remove the jug but I find washing incredibly tedious and I prefer hand held blenders for easing washing.

One thing I severely disliked about this was all the different blades and how to fit them onto the central coloumn. The instructions were not simple enough so I have not even used most of the different functions yet for this reason because I simply cannot understand how to fix the more complex blades for say grating on the blender.

I attempted the whisking blade and I am pretty sure I put it on right and it just didn't work! My merangues were just white froth instead of forming stiff peaks.

A nice touch to the instruction booklet that I do understand however are the few recipes from the man himself, so that was nice to add to my collection.

Summary: Buy a standard blender, this is for poncy people with a lot of money in their wallet.
