Advantages: Cheap and does the job

Disadvantages: Slightly unweildy and hard to dismantle

I picked up this smoothie maker cheaply after our original one broke and we wanted one quickly but didn't really have the money to get a brand name one. I figured it might last us a couple of months at most and wasn't too hopeful.

In actual fact we've had the smoothie maker for over a year now and it's had quite a lot of use in that time. It's fairly easy to use, you put it all together, shove some fruit, juice or whatever in the top and press the button. There are 2 speeds and a pulse button, nothing complicated. After your smoothie is made you lift up the tap and it should decant nicely into your chosen glass. If it's a bit thick you just press the pulse button to help it come out a bit easier.

Cleaning these kind of things is always a bit of a chore. It can be a bit of a wrench to get the smoothie maker to bits and sometimes I worry I'll break it, but I haven't so far!

For a cheap blender it's fantastic. I think that the design isn't always great. Sometimes I want to take the jug off to pour the last little bit of the smoothie into a cup and it seems awkward to handle. Overall for the price though I think it is excellent.

Summary: Good value.
