      For a perfect smoothie

The blender has a black base (I liked this as it fitted in nicely with the décor of my kitchen), clear glass jug which has a black lid and black handle on. Underneath the base, the blender has four little rubber feet making it non-slip and this seems to work as I have had no problems. I was also attracted to this blender as the jug is made from glass, it made it feel that bit more expensive and felt sturdier when blending. The jug holds up to 1.5 litres which I find is plenty for myself and Lauren to get a decent sized smoothie from. The jug also locks into place.

It has 5 speed setting which you can select by turning the red dial on the base of the blender, you can also select Pulse, Turbo or Ice. I have never used the turbo function as setting 3 seems to be adequate enough, neither have I used pulse, however I have used ice before, within a few seconds, ice cubes are broken down into 'crushed ice' and when it has been really hot adding this to a cold glass of lemonade always goes down really nicely.
Using the blender is really easy, I have mainly used mine for fruit smoothies, just chop your fruit into chunks, put into the jug, put the lid on and off you go. Within less than a minute, you have a nice healthy drink. There are loads of different variations you can make, I tended to work on initially the common fruits like apple, orange, pineapple but as Lauren started to 'like' these, I started to introduce strawberries, bananas and kiwis.
You can also use the blender for making things like soup or sauces and included with the blender, I also got a recipe book (although I have no idea where this is now) however if you search online, you can find loads of different ideas and recipes.
The blender is really easy to clean, the jug, lid and blades (the blades are designed to cut horizontally and vertically therefore sharp on both sides) are all dishwasher safe and I normally just clean the base with a damp cloth and this does a good enough job.
The only downside for me is it can be a little noisy, however I don't think this is an issue as most blenders are noisy.
We still have the blender now and still works perfectly well, 4 years after purchasing however having said that, it has now become one of those items in the cupboard that never really gets used but initially, was used several times a week for around 6 months.

      5 out of 5 stars.
