Advantages: great blender
Disadvantages: none
My daughters both love milk shakes and fruit drinks but trying to get them to eat a piece of fruit is near impossible so when i spotted this blender for just £15.23p at asda i thought i would give it a go as if it wasnt any good i hadnt wasted a fortune on it.
I was very surprised with how easy this blender is to use, the base attaches to the jug very easily and the power wont start if the jug isnt attached properly so no risk of the jug flying off across the kitchen, it has two speed settings on the front and a pulse mode to make things even smoother.
The jug is 1.5 litres which is an ideal size for what we need and is made of plastic, the blades are stainless steel so are brilliant for blending fruit and according to the box they are supposed to be tough enough to mix ice but i havent had any need to try this. The jug unattaches from the base easily enough and the blades unscrew for ease of cleaning but you do need to make sure they are screwed back in tightly before you use it or you will have leaks.
The blender has a 500watt motor making easy blending of all the fruits we have tryed, the spout on the jug makes it very easy to pour the milkshakes into a glass without spilling it everywhere.
With this we also got a spice and herb mill with its own blades to chop garnish for foods but i havent had any use for this yet.
With the amount of fruit this has allowed me to get into my daughters it is worth its weight in gold so for the price we payed i am very happy with my purchase.
Summary: a great way to blend my fruit

Nar2 - 16/06/08 Good review but what a shame you haven't tested the other accessories which have come with it.
Is it noisy in use and is it bulky/heavy to lift/store? How many speeds are there? |
