Advantages: Easy to assemble.
Disadvantages: Doesn't really cut well.
I recently bought the Magic Bullet Blender as my other methods (traditional knife) took too long. The Bullet also attracted me by its continuous commercials on the television and from previous hype. The price was reasonable for a blender combo coming with it a few containers to switch from. Anyway, I am separating this review with pros and cons as their is not much to say for this blender.
Pros:
The blender works decently well for certain things such as for softer items. It definitely took less than 10 seconds to blend down to what I wanted and saved a great deal of time when cooking. It is relatively simple to use - just a simple plug-in, put what you want in the blender and screw it in and press the top for just a few seconds (not supposed to press it for long periods of time) and it should "magically" do the work. And well it did do the work so I am grateful for that.
Cons:
The blender although definitely saves time and cuts well for certain things, does not cut well for others. I actually thought that the blender was broken when I put spinach and some almonds in it to make pesto and it would not cut! I do not know if it was because the spinach was semi-wet but I ended up having to get out another blender in order to do it. The blender also did not stand out from other blenders other than the fact you just had to press the top for a few seconds rather than hold.
Overall, I do not think I would suggest the blender as it did not stand out from any other blenders you could get for cheaper. The containers you did receive with it could justify the price.
Summary: Not really as "magic" as I thought!
