“ Brand: Philips / Blender Type: Handheld / Jar Size: 16.91 oz. „
I've been using the Philips HR1355 for a few weeks as a replacement for my old handheld blender. It retails at around £37 and does exactly what it promises.
The HR1355 runs on around 220V and has a max power of 300W making it a very powerful blender and allowing it to blitz even the toughest ingredients to my knowledge. The cord length is a generous 1.3m which allows you to move the blender around freely when needed. Especially useful due to the fact the blender is a hefty 38.5X7X7cm and so requires quite a lot of space to handle. The beaker that comes with the blender takes a capacity of 0.5L and is very useful for storage as well as blending ingredients in without damage.
Usage and results -
Using the blender is no issue at all, just plug it in, hit the button and away you go. However, there is only one speed which is very powerful so make sure you have the protective lid on at all times. Holding on is no problem as the shaft has a rubber grip to prevent the nightmare of dropping it.
The "twist and slice" style blades make sure that when you're done blending you're left with an extremely smooth outcome ready to serve straight away.
The shaft of the blender is detatchable so that the blades can be washed easily in the dishwasher making cleaning no hassle. The jug is also dishwasher friendly allowing you to clean the full equipment with the rest of the washing up.
