~Tesco Value Handblender~ Tesco (instore and www.tesco.com/direct) offer several different handblenders including branded handblenders. The cheapest handblender available is the Tesco Value Handblender (model HB07). This handblender has a power output of 150W and is a basic handblender. This appliance is made of white plastic and measures 38 x 7 x 7cm (according to the Tesco website). This handblender has one speed setting. It isn't designed to crush ice or provide any form of turbo boost. This handblender doesn't have any fancy features ie a safety lock or eject button. It is recommended that you use this handblender in short bursts of one minute ... Read the complete review

I ended up purchasing this hand blender from Tesco a few months ago for around £6. Although I own a full size jug blender, I found it impossible to use to blend food for my daughter, who at the time was being weaned onto solids. The full size blender just couldn't blend the food smoothly enough unless I made a very large amount. For that reason, I opted for this hand blender so I could direct the blender onto more difficult areas of the food myself to achieve a smooth consistency. How to Use The blender is very basic, that was noticeable as soon as I removed it from the (also basic) box. The blender is curved in shape and plain white in colour with a grey ... ~*~*~ Tesco Value Hand Blender ~*~*~ ~ What it is? ~ This is a hand held blender stick from the Tesco Value range. I believe at the time of purchase it was around the £5 mark more or less. This is a basic hand blender and very easy to use. The blender comes in one whole piece unlike a different value price blender I have purchased in the past which came in two pieces and required minimal putting together! The only bad thing about this is that you are not able to take the blade part off for washing like I could my previous blender, never the less for such a low price it's not something I am bothered ... I have just had a new kitchen so I decided that this was the ideal time to branch out on my cooking! I was in two minds whether to buy a hand blender or a jug blender and decided to do some research before making my decision. After reading reviews and talking to friends and family, I found out quite quickly that the problem with a jug blender is two fold - Firstly, they are the very devil to clean after ever use and secondly, it is very difficult for some of them to blend the ingredients at the bottom of the jug. So a hand blender it was! My next stage was to review and ask around about blenders. Top of the list from friends and family was the Tesco ... Read the complete review

At the beginning of December last year our old, all singing, all dancing blender finally gave up the ghost after a long life. Aware that the weather was pretty awful and knowing that around Christmas when I have a bit of extra time I love making soups I decided to get myself a reasonably priced blender just to tide us over until new year when I knew my mum was likely to buy a better, new blender. After buying a couple of appliances from the Tesco Value range previously, I decided to have a look as they're usually really good but just don't look that pretty, but I don't mind this as my blender usually stays in the drawer and I just get it out to use it ... Does lots of jobs and takes up little room, free to me!
Cord rather short and you have to hold the button down all the time in use
Strong and durable, looks great, blends great, blend manually and automatically
Makes cooking so much easier and less time consuming.
I personally can't think of any.
