Disadvantages: The inintial cost
When I was lucky enough to be attend a spa day with a couple of my friends a few months ago, there were a number of different brands of products that we could try out for the day as well as a product shop so that we could buy any that took our fancy. There were some brands that I had heard of before and others that were not so familiar, one of these being the Bliss range of treatments. I had not heard of them before but gave their hand and foot cream ago whilst being pampered, when I went to go for a shower I also used their hot salt scrub. I would loved to have brought it there and then but it was priced at £28.50 and for those that have read my previous reviews then they will know that I have an eye for a bargain so decided to try and purchase it online at home for cheaper! Well, mission achieved and 4 days later via eBay I was in possession of the Bliss Hot salt scrub and here are my thoughts!
On EBay I was able to pick this up for £14.00, which is just over under half the amount that the spa wanted me to pay. The Bliss range can be found in places like House of Fraser and some larger Boots and Debenhams stores but obviously you will have to pay full price for it so it is worth looking around for it online or at a discounted offer price.
The scrub itself comes in a round blue pot that is mainly an aqua blue in colour; there is the bliss logo in small white lettering on the side followed by the name of the product in larger lettering. As well as this there is a full list of ingredients that have been used in the product, these include things like sea salt, kelp and algae extract. There is a good amount of information about the actual product as well as directions for use,
Bliss describe this product as being able to 'demolish dry and tough skin, it heats up as you rub into loosen muscles' I really liked this as my skin felt great as well as this was a really good exfoliatior. To start using you need to remove the white cap that is at the top of the bottle, the first thing that I noticed was the scent of this product, it is a mixture of rosemary and eucalyptus and it was so fresh I could have sat and smelt it all day long! You are told to apply the salt scrub to dry skin so I tend to apply just before I get in the shower, it really does instantly feel warm on the skin and you can almost feel it buffing away at the skin. The texture is slightly rough to this salt scrub, if it was smooth then I guess it would not be doing its job but it does not hurt or catch skin or leave it red or irritated in any way.
The salt scrub rinses off really well and I notice that my skin feels soft and as if I really have had a spa treatment, I try and use this treat once a week to give myself that great all over skin smoothing treat. I always follow up with some body cream and I feel amazing after it.
I have no problem in recommending this treat, I appreciate that there is a high cost involved but a little does last well and it is a one off treat.
4 out of 5 from me
Thank you for reading
