Having built up a number of blu-rays following the purchase of my Playstation 3 I decided it was time to get a blu-ray player for the bedroom and decided to go with a brand I have purchased from previously and so picked LG but has this proven to be a good purchase?
This is a stylish looking player which appears as a high gloss black front with a central grey/silver button section. The disc drawer is on the left front of the player and fully covered so that this does not detract from the overall look of the player and the right front has a display to show the playing time, pause, open, close, etc and for me the design is simple yet brilliant as it looks sleek and modern which enables it to easily fit in with the rest of your modern appliances.
This LG blu-ray player has an extremely quick load time with a disc able to be up and playing within 18 seconds which is exceptionally quick even when compared to the newer players out on the market. The player is also very quiet when it plays the discs which I find very important as I can't stand hearing whirring from a disc when I am trying to watch a film.
This blu-ray player allows for you to connect to the internet so that you can stream videos directly from YouTube to your television. I simply love this as it opens up a whole new world of entertainment without costing the earth.
Play your movies the way they were meant to be played thanks to bly-ray bringing the world of high definition to your home. The LG BD370 plays your blu-ray discs with ease and with a high quality HD tv the films look simply stunning thanks to amazing bright colours, exceptional image definition of 1080 progressive lines so that you have no flickering and a clear picture so that you will see a real difference when compared to standard dvd quality which only offers up 576 lines per image.
High quality uncompressed sound allows for you to have an amazing experience no matter what you watch and for me this is one of the best things about blu-ray as you get sound quality which can challenge the cinema for the impact it has on your viewing experience.
This is not simply a blu-ray player but more so a media hub as it allows for you to play your DVD's with an upscaled quality so they have 1080 lines per image rather than the standard 576 lines. You can also play your CD or even plug your USB storage device in to enable you to have your photos on your tv screen with ease.
The player comes with a well designed and easy to use remote control that works brilliantly and has no issues with the player not picking up when you press a button. This is a very good remote which is simple but works with no problems.
The player cost me around £150 which I have found to be great value for money as this feels like a well made piece of kit that will last and as it is from a brand which I trust in LG then I am confident this has been built with quality in mind.
Overall I have been very impressed with the LG BD370 blu-ray player and watch my blu-ray movies on this regularly. The picture and sound quality is exceptional yet the player remains able to load and play the discs quickly and quietly. The player is sleek and stylish so that it does not look out of place when put on the entertainment unit under your flashy television. Overall I highly recommend this player to anyone looking for a true entertainment hub as it allows for your blu-ray discs, DVD's, CD's or even your USB storage device to be played on your big screen tv.
