You will notice that if you change from your DVD player after watching a movie, straight to your Blu-ray player you will have to increase the volume significantly. Maybe these are designed with 5.1 surround sound systems in mind.

If you haven't seen Blu-ray in action my I suggest you do. The difference between it and DVD is striking especially if viewed on a 1080P Full HD LCD, LED or plasma TV. Remember the difference when you saw DVD for the first time compared to VHS. Well blue-ray is the same only better. The detail and colour are the things you will notice most. This Samsung player is Full HD with that perfect 1080p picture. It will also upgrade DVDs to this quality. This makes DVDs look better but nowhere near as good as Blu-ray.
