      Very helpful

It's not the best blu-ray player on the market by a country mile, but it's cheap and does the job.

I've owned this blu ray player for a good few years now, and while it still works all fine and well, it's far from a perfect player. This player has many good and bad parts to it, but to sum it up in just a few words, it's cheap and simple. And by that I mean it's not fancy, it doesn't feature any great apps, abilities or overall features; it just plays your blu ray discs in 1080p high definition. It also plays DVD's and CD's, so that's another good thing about this player; although every blu ray does this so it's hardly a unique feature. The first thing I will talk about here is setting up the player, and to be honest it couldn't be any simpler. Just simply put the HDMI cable into the back of the player and into the TV; and plug it into the socket, it's that easy. Then turn it on and bish bash bosh your blu ray player is working and you're ready to start watching all your favourite movies.

Now, the picture and sound quality are top notch, and while I understand that's the same for every player, it's still good considering this one is one of the cheapest on the market, if not the cheapest. It's not without it's flaws though, although it's very quick to boot up, which is arguably the best feature on this Toshiba BDX1100KB Blu-Ray Player, it's quite loud and and the loading times for the movies to come on are slow. I know it seems as if I've contradicted myself there, but it's rapid to load up the player and get it to the main menu, but when you put a disc in and press "Play", it then takes an ice age. And as I mentioned, it's very loud and unless it's just my player, when the discs are playing; I have to turn them up because they are that loud. It's also ear-hurting when you open the disc tray and close it, in all honesty it sounds as if the player's about to break (but obviously it hasn't, as evidenced by still going strong after three years).

There's not much to say about this blu ray player that hasn't already been said, I could go in specs and player details but in all honesty you guys don't care about that stuff. If you're one who wants a blu ray player to make their entertainment system look nice and show it off to their friends; stay away, it looks ugly and not something to show off. Also, I don't know if it's my house, but the player is a magnet to dust. I say this because my PS4, TV and other electronic devices don't gather that much dust, yet this player seems to draw dust like it's going out of fashion; so if you get this, prepare to clean it often.

So I'll draw this review to a conclusion by saying, it's filled with problems, errors and it's obnoxiously loud and dusty, but it's cheap and does the job by playing your blu ray's in crystal clear high definition. I wouldn't recommend it personally, but it's cheap and if you're just looking for something to play blu ray's on, this will do the job.
