Monopoly Here and Now: The World Edition ... likes being told they have to go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass go and do not collect £200?!?! It s mean! Monopoly s always been mean, that s part of the fun though. It s great when you see other people fidget and squirm because they ve landed on your Mayfair with a hotel, AGAIN, only this time they know they can t afford it! They have to scrape together everything they own and then they still need to take out a loan beofre losing and haing to come out of the game broke! But you have to be careful not to get too cocky because you re approaching that bond street with 4 houses and you know you ve just spent your last £500 on street repairs! It s a tough game,... Trivial Pursuit Genus IV ... This is a classical game for the intelligent one, with questions about common knowledge as well as uncommon and popular culture. It is not a game for kids or young teens but for adults on a Saturday night with friends or family. Risk ... is a boardgame focused on world domination. I was going to say that this is the only aim of the game, but with modern variations this is not always the case. It is actually a lot harder to describe than I first imagined. The world is first divided into continents: South America, America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. These are then divided into territories (I was mistaken in calling them countries earlier - sorry). Territories are SOMETIMES countries but more often than not just vague descriptions such as western europe eastern australia or else entirely made up place names like ural and yakutsk .
