Super Scrabble:
... those of you who aren t aware of the concept of Scrabble (you must be very few and far between!) this is a word-based board game for two to four players (although I have played with six people before now). Each player selects 7 letters from a bag of mixed letters, and they have to create words and place them on the board. The words have to exist in the dictionary, and they have to be placed horizontally or vertic... Read the full review: Make sure you have a few hours free for this game by BumpyBump |

Orchard Toys Bus Stop ... Orchard Toys Bus Stop board game is one of our grandson s favourite games. I have to admit at the start though, that this is largely because he is mad about buses! If your child is not big on vehicles, this game doesn t have a whole lot else to offer. It s reasonably priced at around £8 from various online sellers, including Amazon, which is pretty fair compared the high cost of a lot of modern board games. For your £8 you get a box containing an assortment of very high quality cardboard pieces. You get two semi-circle pieces to slot together for your board/road along with four coloured buses, a dice, four counters, and plenty of glossy thick cardboard squares d... Guess Who? ... literally hours of my childhood were spent playing this game. I had a few different versions of it over the years, because they kept updating the game with new faces and changing the look of the game, even though the concept remained the same. The idea of Guess Who is to pick a character at random from the card deck, then both players have to ask questions using an elimination process to whittle down suspects and work out which character the other player has. It is a game for two people, but I guess you could play it in teams. Each player has a little board with flip-top faces. If you ask does your person have a hat and the other player says no , then you wo... Read the full review: Guess Who? Go On Guess! by benlepensive |

Taboo ... is an excellent game to play at Christmas or with a group of friends. The game is based on a very simple concept but is suprisingly hard. Basically, in teams of two (minimum 4 players), you have to work your way around the board to the middle. The first team to get there wins. There is no dice, instead you move by correctly identifying items on a card. One person in the team must describe an item on a card but they must not use certain words. For example, if the item was Christmas, you must describe this without using the words listed below it which might include December, Jesus, presents, star, wise men, tree. Each team has 1 minute and one person must describe ... Read the full review: You musn't say that! by niknakb |
