A great board game. (Drummond Park Articulate!)
Member Name: abyznw
Advantages: Fun, fast-paced and educational. Disadvantages: Not family-orientated. Articulate is by far my favourite board game. It involves describing words to a team member and moving around the board with each successful guess of the word. The words to be described range from famous names, places and objects to actions. It is similar to Taboo, but it is much more heavily based on teamwork. Unlike other games (such as Pictionary) it is not judged on the luck of the roll of the dice, but skill, as you move around the board in correlation to how well you do. The pack contains 3,000 words to use, and you can buy extra cards if necessary (after you've played enough times it can get repetitive always giving the same clues). The only downside is that it is for aged 12 and over, so it is not really a family orientated game. To be honest some of the words me and my friends struggle with- especially the famous names, so I'm not convinced that it is entirely suitable for even 12 year olds. Summary: A great game for over 12s. |
