Advantages: Brain training!, word game, quick

It's amazing what people find to do with some dice and a rack + cover!

Boggle is a game everyone has grown up with. It keeps things lovely and simple - the scoring is basic and the only rules are letters in a word must connect one to another and you can't used the same letter twice.

It is a very fast game (timed usually by a three minute egg timer), the part I don't like is the time it takes to compare words - if you have alot of people, especially those who tend to discuss each work (how much can really be said about spelling b-a-t?!?) this can make the game quite tortuous.

The main criteria for boggle is to train yourself to be able to see the words. If you can look for good endings (ed, ly, ing, ion, ies) as if you can put them to use this usually means longer words (and everone has the short ones). More letters = more points.

Good game to outwit others on and a great time filler - it's never going to be thrilling (no-one seems to ever get all the right letters for any long words)

Summary: Plenty of good fun
