Advantages: Easy to play, easy to set up, reasonable price.

Disadvantages: None

Buckaroo is a game of skill that is designed for children aged 4 and up and is aimed at 2 players of more.

The aim of the game is to load up a plastic mule (Roo) with plastic items (12 in total, the saddle must go on first) and to take care when loading as too many vibrations or too much force will force the spring inside to ping Roo and whichever player made him buck is the loser. Gameplay will then start over and the last player in the game is declared as the winner. It's highly unlikely that you will get through a game without causing Roo to buck but if so then the person who placed the last piece is declared as the winner.

The game is very easy to set up and there are three settings underneath the blanket, on the side of Roo, which allow you to adjust the sensitivity and if you are playing with younger children this is a great feature as you can make the game slightly easier or harder if you want to get through the game quicker.

It's well designed and very easy to play, children & adults alike could set up this game as it takes just a few seconds and then you can begin playing. Also, if you do lose a couple of pieces it shouldn't mean you can't play anymore, you just might find more people making it through to the end of the game.

I have nieces & nephews who love to play this game and it's one that brings back nostalgic memories of my childhood. It's really just about skill and this does mean that generally I have the advantage over the younger members of the family but I have occasionally been known to lose to make everybody feel a little better and avoid any loss related tantrums or even just to send them off to bed happy.

I am rating the game 5/5 as it's easy for more ages to play and the set up time is very fast so if you want something to play for 15 minutes or just as a change then this is a great game. It's currently available for £11.35 on Amazon with free postage but I'm sure this is available cheaper in toy stores or supermarkets so shop around.

A fact about me now... When I was around 6 years old by elder brother and I were playing Buckaroo where one person played Roo and carried the passenger around then said 'Buckaroo from MB' and threw off their passenger, unfortunately, my brother bucked me in to the wooden door in the lounge, knocked me out and I came round in an ambulance. He was screaming his head off and crying stating he'd 'killed Mums favourite' I can laugh about it now but back in the day it hurt an awful lot and the huge bump on my head didn't go down for weeks!

Summary: A fantastic game for the whole family - but mainly the kids!
