I remember playing buckaroo as a child and was never keen on the game because I always lost and it was frustraiting to keep having to put the peices back on. I will say even now I am not keen on this game for the very same reason.

My children were bought this as a christmas prestant and they love it. There is a mule on a platform that clips down so that it is standing up but the slightest touch will make the mule buck which gets frustrating for me becasue the kids can not do this to start the game. There are settings underneath for the different ages and stages of play from easy to hard even the easy one is hard to make the mule simply stand up.

There are 12 peices to hang on to the mule, the first thing to go on is the saddle so that the rest of the items can hang off it. I tend to put this on for the kids because they make it buck when they do it and get board of the game very quickly because they never manage to get anything else on.

My daughter only being 1 finds it a bit difficult because it is aimed at 4 years + but she will still have a go and the peices are not that small that she will swallow them. This has been played quiet a bit in our house and the children do seem to enjoy it immensly.

This is a good toy for the fact that it does not require batteries and it is made from a strong plastic so it is not easy to be broken, the children do seem to enjoy it too. I think that I just have bad memories of playing the game. The only complication to the game is making the mule stand up apart from that it is a great game, it is not expensive and will last quite a long time even with being bashed about.

Summary: great game for the kids to play if they are not easily frustrated
