Advantages: Quick games, fun for younger children

Disadvantages: Over time pieces become broken, lost and worn

I didn't own this game as a child but played it at friend's houses. I enjoyed playing it occasionally but didn't really feel any need to own it as it is the sort of game that is fun for a few games, but as each game lasts about a minute you can quickly become bored of it.

All you have to do to set it up is set the spring on the donkey, then each player takes it in turns to choose an item and try to place it on the saddle carefully without the spring springing, resulting in the donkey bucking and pieces flying everywhere, much to the amusement of small children.

I have recently bought two sets for a childrens' camp I work on. I have found that some of the pieces are a little flimsy and easily broken. They are also easily lost and once you have lost or broken a few the game is much less fun. The spring mechanism tends to wear after a while so it becomes increasingly difficult to get it set properly so that it stays set until you have started. This is especially difficult for smaller children to do so even though they enjoy playing with it I have to reset it for them every time they want a new game. This is something to bear in mind if you want a game the kids can get on with by themselves whilst you are busy!

Summary: Limited lifespan of the game itself and the interest factor
