This piece is difficult to separate again and to be honest we keep it made up because we are frightened of snapping it. The only problem with this is that although it can be easily taken off the board, it doesn't fit back in the box and has to sit on top of it instead. ***Background*** Chad Valley have been designing different toys since 1860 and you can still find a good range at Woolworths today. Everything from soft toys to games are included in the range and this is one of the games that my daughter decided to buy her 5 year old brother for Christmas this year. Snakes and Ladders can be dated back to India in the 16th Century and then it became popular in the Victorian era in the UK.
