Advantages: You get to be a detective !

Disadvantages: Nothing at all.

Dr. Black has been found murdered in his home, Tudor Hall during one of his parties at around 8.45pm by Miss Scarlett on the cellar steps, Can you solve who did it? Where they did it? And what they did it with?

Suspects...
Professor Plum - Had known Dr. Black since their school days but needed money to finance another archaeological trip to Egypt. Claims to have been cleaning his artefacts at the time of the murder.

Reverend Green - Close friend of Mrs White. Was in desperate need of money for his church and could be the reason for attending the party.

Miss Scarlett - Beautiful actress who is used to playing the role of the femme fatale. Is her claims that she did not murder the doctor another act?

Mrs Peacock - A regular visitor to Dr. Black's home. Believed to have nearly lost all her money because she is been blackmailed.

Colonel Mustard - Left the army under strange circumstances. He is an expert on weapons and the art of conspircay.

Mrs White - She was the cook to Dr. Black and many believe she was becoming increasingly unhappy with her job. She is very familiar with the layout of the house, which could of helped her escape the murder scene without been seen.

Rooms....
Hall - Many guests heard hurried footsteps in the hall after dinner. None of the guests stayed in the same place at the same time after dinner and it was Miss Scarlett who went to bed first, was she the footsteps heard in the hall?

Study - Rev. Green claims to have been in this room since dinner to the time he went to bed but the secret door to the kitchen was left open, was in Rev. green that opened it?

Library - Prof. Plum and Rev. Green often use this room but did either of them visit the library that night or did someone else want to use the library.

Lounge - Mrs Peacock spent the evening in the Lounge. Dr. Black, Colonel Mustard and Professor Plum made visits to see her through the evening. Prof. Plum claims that Mrs Peacock was acting strange.

Conservatory - A secret door leads from the lounge to the conservatory but did any of the guests know that this passage existed?

Billiard Room - Colonel Mustard had propersistioned Dr. Black to a game of billiards in the Billiard room. It is not yet known whether Dr. Black ever arrived for the game or whether he did get there but Mustard had a surprise in store for him.

Ballroom - Usually reamains locked at all times but the door was found open on inspection. A sheet of music was found on the piano believed to belong to Prof. Plum.

Kitchen - Mrs White spent most of the night in the kitchen and made a snack for Rev. Green becasue he did not eat much at dinner but when questioned Rev. Green claimed he had never had a snack at all, so what was Mrs White doing?

Dining Room - Mrs Peacock was the first the leave the Dining Room after dinner but was later seen returning to that room but why?

Weapons...
Candlestick - Found under the curtains in the dining room after the murder. Had been used for dinner and had been a gift to Dr. Black from Mrs Peacock.

Dagger - A gift from Colonel Mustard and found under the table in the Lounge out of its sheath.

Rope - Found in the ballroom, had earlier wrapped up one of Prof. Plum's artefacts.

Revolver - Dr. Black owned many guns and had brought the gun out when he thought he heard an intruder in the grounds, it was later found in the study.

Lead Piping - Was usually stored in the Gardener's shed but was found in the conservatory after the murder.

Spanner - Found in the kitchen, was earlier given to Colonel Mustard to fix his car but he claims the Gardener never gave him it.

The aim of th game then is to slove the murder od Dr. Black. Three card(one person, one place and one weapon) will be placed in the murder evenlope and not touched until someone makes a suggestion. You will be dealt some card and you can then tick these off your investigation. You have to move from room to room asking other players whether they have that room's card or the weapon and person card that you believe killed Dr. Black. Continue this process until you believe you can unravel the mystery and make an accusation. But if you are wrong, you are out of the game.

This is a veey clever game and not that easy to play. It is for ages 8+. It is also available now in A Simpsons version but I think the classic game is the best. Perfect for a party.

Summary: Beats Monopoly hands down.
