Advantages: For £10 a great toy !!

Disadvantages: Coins sometimes get stuck...music a bit bugging

Push them pennies !!

Fantastic little toy I got for the Boy this christmas, Cost me £10 from a 'local' shop. Basically it's a miniature version of the big Coin Pusher machines you find in arcades.
Is easy to search for on-line and available from a few sites - Argos also has one in too.

Same idea as the big machines, you have 3 slots at the top of your little machine -drop in your coins and watch them drop onto the moving tray and push the coins already inside. The objective ? "Try and win as many coins before the time and music stop" Has an on/off switch to the side and a button on top you press to start game, it then starts up and plays it's 'Coin-Pusher arcade-style' music.

Its a great toy - Has LED lights that flash, it makes a cheering noise when coins fall out the bottom and you win. It EVEN has a nudge alarm that freezes it - No Cheating !! - naughty boy trying to cheat and knock some pennies out got a shock the first time he did it proper beeping alarm noise - fun feature !

A bag full of plastic coins were included but I got this as says works with real money, which it does - 1p 5p 20p -anything bigger won't fit. Boy already had a collection of 'coppers' so filling up wasn't a problem, except you can't 'open it up' and put the coins in. The only way to get coins in is the 3 slots, and the only way out through the 'winning hole'. We have had a few get stuck, but maybe because put a few too many in...Easy enough to solve though, just switch it off and give it a good shake.

The music does get a bit bugging to be honest but I can deal with it because it's a toy that requires Boy to sit still and play with...He's still not bored of it yet also the batteries are lasting well considering amount of play it's had already.

Not for children under 3 years (small parts - plastic/real coins) No assembly required - But needs 3x 1.5V "C" size big batteries so you'll need little screwdriver for battery compartment.

Stuck for a fun gift ? - Get one of these !

Thanks for reading,

Manda :o)

Can also find me on Ciao under same name, reviews normally found there too but with photos.

Summary: Miniature version of the big Coin Pusher machines you find in arcades....

I must admit I considered one of these at Christmas - I love the arcade penny pushers! Susan

I like these arcade game things but they can lose their initial excitement
