Advantages: tickles your imagination-easy to play
Disadvantages: not very tactical
This game is really fun and really quite simple to get the hang of.
I was lucky and bought this in a local charity shop for £1.50 and it was brand new! Must have been an unwanted gift at Christmas. Anyhoo, I thought it was worth taking home for my two elder children, they are 11 and 9 years old.
The cards in the pack give you tasks to do. For example a card may say "Datahead" Estimate how many clean pairs of socks you have worn in your lifetime, and the player has to write down their guess in the red musical timer and pass it to the others. They guess, the player says higher or lower until either someone guesses correctly or the time runs out. The timer plays a funky wee tune too which is surprisingly not so annoying as one owuld expect! Starperformer is like a charade type task. For example it may ask you to act out your favourite meal! The cards are quite random like that which allows those playing to find out a bit more about each other which is good.
There is creative playdoh in the pack for the "Creativecat" cards. You have to make something that it suggests on the card i.e. something you are scared of....
The game is perfect for a family and perfect to encourage imagination. Scoring is based on collecting tiles for correct guesses and such, but after playing it with a competitive grown up it was agreed that on this level its not very tactical. But then I dont mind that.
What is also good is that there isnt loads of set up with it, it can be played and over with in 20 minutes and kids of all ages will benefit from it.
I highly recommend it, even at full price!!
Summary: brilliant for families, nice easy quick game,
