Well it certainly isnt alcohol, youve guessed it it must be darts. Its quite a fun game and has many different versions according to the pub or people you play with. The main game is 501, where you each two of you or 4 if you play doubles throw 3 darts each alternatively with the aim been to get from 501 to 0 in the least number of darts. Each game must be finished on a double or a bulls eye.
To explain the board, it has the numbers 1-20 on the board in various positions with a band around the edge where it scores as double, and an inner band which scores as treble. The centre of the board is a bulls eye and scores 50 with the band around that scoring 25. The least number of darts possible is 9 and the highest score from 3 darts is 180 which is scored by 3 treble 20s.
Its a good laugh, have a go.
