Dominoes is a traditional game which you probably would have heard about from your grandparents, aunts, uncles or some elderly person. I learnt this game from my aunt who said that my grandfather was an expert in this, and he would always win the games played with them.

I never owned a box of dominoes, but the first one that I played with was a black tiled set with white dots. A set of dominos comes with 28 tiles. To make the game easier to play now there are picture domino sets for kids.

My friends and I really enjoyed the game and played as long as we were allowed to. It was great fun, and we didn't want to stop. I still remember how a friend was fighting sleep to continue playing, it was great fun watching that too. Now after about 12 years we still share the same passion for the game. I think this is a good game as it teaches you strategic planning. I have already ear marked a dominoes set that I want to buy for my daughter who is almost 2 years old. I know she might still be too small for it, but the set I saw was so lovely I thought I must buy it as soon as the next set is out. It was the picture dominoes set and it looked so cute.

This is how my friends and I play the game. Note that there are many different ways of playing the game, but this is what we play the most and like the most

*4 players per game
*All dominos are put face down on the table
*Each player picks 7 dominos
*The player with the double six starts the game
*The next player puts down a domino that is of the same value of the domino already on the table. In this case it should be a domino with the value six on it.
*Continue adding dominos in this fashion, linking one domino to the other.
* If next player does not have a tile that is the value of the last domino played then the player losses a turn.

The objective of the game is to finish all dominos first.

Why not try playing this game, its great fun for a family get together. Kids will love this too, specially the picture game.
