Advantages: Good fun a bit challenging

Ahh those many rainy days I have spent playing downfall. The board is vertical like Connect 4, and consists of a number of cogs which hold pieces in their grooves. The aim is to turn the cogs and get your pieces to the bottom, however there is a nice twist. Neither player can see where their opponents pieces are as you play on opposite sides of the board. So when you turn a cogs to get your piece to the bottom you may also be helping your opponent in getting their pieces to the bottom.

This is fun especially for young children, however older children and even adults can memorise where the grooves are on the opposite side and easily win (not that I would ever have done that). The suspense of not knowing whether you are helping your opponent is good for a ‘board’ game and can supply plenty of entertainment to children 6+. This is a good quality game, and although not for adults it really keeps the kids quiet.
