Advantages: Easy to play and fun

Disadvantages: Not so appealing the older you get

This is one of those games tha becomes less apealing the older you get, at least in my opinion it does. It is sort of based on the game Ludo, the objective of the game is to advance four coloured pieces around a circular board and to get each one back into a safe home area. This is done using a single dice and whilst progressing if you land on an opponents piece then they are returned back to their own starting point.

This game is for two to four players and each player plays as one colour and has their own starting and finish point. If there are two players then you should start opposite each other however if there are three players then the player with no one sat to their right has a slight advantage as pieces progress in a clockwise direction.

What makes this game slightly different is the fact that the dice is encased in a clear plastic dome with a flexible metal base and you depress this to cause the dice to spring up to decide on your score. The worry is if it breaks but from my experience it is really hard wearing if not a little annoying when youngsters keep clicking on it.

The game earns its name of frustraion for two reasons, you need to shake a six to start a piece from your starting point and then it is obviously frustrating when one of your pieces get sent back to the start and you have to throw another six. This game gets really fun when you have more than one piece out at any one time which is part of the strategy and as a slight difference if there are only two players you can each play two colours which makes strategy a lot more important.

The game is suitable for all ages and helps very young children with their counting and whlst it has less appeal the older you get it can still be good fun to play and for adults can easily be adapted to use as a drinking game with rules like taking a drink for a particular number, downing a drink when you are captured there are lots of variations.

Summary: Good basic game
