Advantages: Simple so anyone can play

Disadvantages: None as i love this game

As a child i remember getting this game for christmas and i was about 7 years old. I loved it then and i love it now, 23 years later. It is really easy to play so i recommend it for young and old. It can be just as fun to play with either just the two people or all four. I brought this game for my children and now they love it to. It is a game that never goes to the bottom of the pile as we play it over and over again. If you were to get it, it would bring hours and hours of fun for all ages. It is a top game and although it's a simple game compared to those that are brought out these days it is a throughly enjoyable game to play. So if you want a tradional and simple but enjoyable game then this is the game for you.

The idea of the game is that you can have 2 to 4 players and each choose one of the four coloured pieces; red, yellow, blue or green. We always started from youngest to oldest and you then take it in turns to press down the enclosed dice in the middle of the board. You have to get a 6 on the dice to intially start and move each of your bits to go around the board. Once you have gone around the board you each have a few spaces that lead up to the centre section to the dice and this is called home. No other player can go in this section as this is where you have to eventually get all four of your coloured pieces into. The first person to get all their pieces there is the winner. Whilst travelling around the board you can have up to all four pieces going around at once but if someone lands on you you have to go back to the start again and that bit is not allowed out until you have rolled a six on the dice.

This is a really good game and it's still widely available. Prices can vary from place to place and depending if you want it second hand or not. It's not that expensive around £5 - £10.

Summary: Yet a simple game but really enjoyable
