Advantages: very simple game to play

Disadvantages: the dome for the dice doesn't always allow it to pop properly

Frustration is a very simple board game to set up and play. This game has been around for many years and i remember playing this myself when i was younger.

It is very similar to ludo as you have to move all your counters around the board and get them all home before everybody else does. The recommended age for playing this game is age 4+ and is for 2-4 players.

To assemble the game you need to attach the clear gameboard to the coloured board that sits underneath it. To do this there are four rubber feet, these need to be pushed into the holes in the board. This will hold the coloured board against the clear gameboard.

Each player choses what colour they want to be, yellow, red, blue or green and takes their four counters in their chosen colour. They are placed in the home space in the corner of the board corresponding with the coloured counters.
Each player then takes it in turn to see who gets the highest number on the dice, they will go first. The dice is set in a see through dome in the middle of the game board, to use the dice you need to push down on the dome and the dice pops around inside the dome.
When it gets to your turn you need to get a 6 on the dice to start moving one of your counters around the board. You bring out your piece and place it on the white arrow, you then get to have another pop of the dice to see how many spaces you need to move. If you dont get a 6 and you dont have any counters out on the board you will have to wait until your next turn to try for the 6. If you do have a counter already on the board and you get a 6, you can choose to bring out another counter or carry on moving the counter that you are already playing with.
If you land on a space and somebody already has a counter there, they must go back to their home space and wait to get another 6 to start again. Also if you get a 6 and another player is on your starting space, you may bring your counter out and again send them back home.
If when it is your go the only move you can make is to land on one of your pieces you just need to stay where you are.
When you have been right around the board and you get back to your corner, you need to start moving your counter up to the middle of the board. Each piece must finish in the middle in the exact number on the dice, if you are unable to do this you must just stay where you are until you get the exact number.
The winner of the game is the person to get their four counters into the middle first.

This game is lots of fun and people of all ages will enjoy it. I think the name of the game comes from the frustration you feel at being sent back home by another player especially when you are almost fully round the board. Also when you are waiting for a certain number to come up so that you can place a counter in the middle, this is very frustrating too.

The only problem that i came across when playing this game was the dice in the dome. Theres not really a lot of room in there and the dice doesn't always get to pop properly, so i found that quite a few times we were getting the same number over again.

Summary: A fun game for all ages
