Advantages: They have made the game less long
Disadvantages: The buttons for the bubble could be easily lost
This game has been around for years! I had it as a child and now my children have it.
It has not changed much but has been slightly modernised.
The aim of the game is to get your colour 'home' first and then you win.
When I was a child then die was in little semi circle popper - you would press the popper and the pressure would make the die roll.
Now however you do not need to press the popper. Each colour has a little button that you press that makes the die pop on its own within the semi circle. Very clever, however if you lose these buttons then the game can no longer be played.
The idea of the game is still the same although the counters are no longer just counters they have made them little people. You have to roll a 6 to get your little person out of the waiting area, you then proceed around the board towards home making sure that no one else lands on you and sends you back to the waiting area. The new edition of the game has a immunity genie. In with the die is another die for the genie, if the die shows the genie then you get to have the little man and he keeps you safe when someone lands on you, however you only get him as long as someone else does not throw him on the die. This is good though as it does make the game slightly shorter and for those that have played the older version then you know how long it can go on for which for younger children can get a little boring.
My 5 year old loves this game and it was a great game to buy her - it is a great game to play together as a family so for that reason this game gets my vote!
Summary: Would recommend this game to anyone with young children
