This was one of my favourite games as a child. Game of Life is a board game based on the ups and downs of life. You will be given a profession, husband or wife and children along the way.

The game starts with your little blue or pink peg (dependant on whether youre a boy or girl) sitting in a coloured car. This is your playing piece for the rest of the game. There is room in your can for 4 children and a husband or wife.

There isnt too much skill involved in this game as its mostly due to the squares you land on and the cards you pick up. It is still however a very good game.

The one thing that lets game of life down is the length of time it takes to play. With 3 or more players it can take well over an hour, trying the patience of even an adult let alone an 8 year old.

I would recommend this game to anyone who hasnt played it before. You can pick it up quite cheaply from Amazon and Tesco online. As always shop around for the best prices.
