Advantages: Easy to play

If boredom could be grown, then the seeds of this despair would be fully formed boxes of the Game of Life. A simple game so soppy that people are stereotyped into boys being blue and girls being pink. All this whilst the whole family fits into a car, which motors around the board.

As the name suggests, the whole board game could be a grand metaphor for life.
However this ‘game’ could quite easily persuade any cognisant adult to break down in hysterical tears and contemplate suicide.

Unfortunately, the game is quite accurate in its depiction of life, you’re born, you receive a pittance of a wage each turn, you follow one set path with no significant deviations, you HAVE to get married and everything costs money until at the end the unfortunate player has to run the gauntlet of buying unwanted speed boats and such. You either end up in the Retirement Cottage (probably bankrupt) or in the Millionaire’s Mansion (which hardly ever happens).

It would be difficult, in my opinion, to find a finer proof of the pointlessness of life and the fallacies of capitalism than this board game. Only play this if you have fluffy bunnies flying above your pillow at night or you wish you had them.
