Advantages: Great entertainment for the whole family

Disadvantages: games only lasta few minutes

With Christmas looming rapidly, I always like to get board games. As a family we all sit down after dinner and play them.

In the summer I went to a local boot sale and found the legendary guess who game, thinking I would pay two pounds for it I asked the stall holder how much they wanted for it. They asked to 50p for it, the box was a bit battered but everything inside was still intact and nothing was missing, so I paid the 50p and walked happily away with my best buy of the day.

Guess who has been in circulation for over twenty years and was made by the popular toy brand Hasbro. The main object of the game is to guess your opponent character on their chosen card.
You start with two plastic playing boards, one blue and one red. Each of these boards has forty eight people on them and they sit in plastic insets that are flipped down if you have eliminated them from the game.

You also have a card deck with 48 characters on them, at the beginning of the game you select one of these cards and that is your charter, you have to answer honestly so if someone asks if they have brown hair, you have to answer yes or no. All questions are answered yes or no.

The only down side to this game is that only two players can only play at any one time, but the games are over in a matter of minutes, providing you ask questions that are useful for example do they wear glasses, if you opponent says no, then you flick down even character within you 48 that wear glasses, as the opponents answer has eliminated them all.

The first person to guess the name for the other player's character is the winner.

This game is suitable for children from 3 years old, but even adults can have fun with this, but I feel that the kids will play longer than any adult would.

Summary: good fun great for kids.
