Advantages: A lot of guess work

Disadvantages: Only a two player

This has to be one of my all time favourite games even though I never actually owned it myself. I always remember looking forward to visiting my cousins house because I knew we'd play with it for hours. I don't know why my parents never actually bought it for me!

The game consists of two boards which have 'flip up' plastic holders. Inside the holders are cards which have different people's faces on them. There is a separate deck of cards that are 'doubles' of the characters that are on the boards. Each player has to pick from the deck and the other player has to guess which character is on their chosen card.

The idea of the game is that each player takes it in turns to ask specific questions about the other players chosen person. For instance 'Is it a man?', 'Does it have a beard?'. If the player says 'No' then you can flip all of the people with that specific characteristic, down. When you are left with a few people on your board then you can take a guess at who the other persons character is. The winner of the game is the one who guesses the other persons character first.

This game is so much fun in lots of ways and I think it's a great way for young children to learn not only the facial features but it's a great way of encouraging vocabulary and questioning skills. It involves a little brain power which children seem to have left in the 1960's.

I love this game because some of the characters are funny to look at and it's really fun to ask the questions. I love it when you accidently say 'No' to a question when you should have said 'yes' and the person ends up with the wrong character at the end. That really used to get on my cousins nerves especially when I'd do it on purpose! I would spend the whole game trying to not laugh and he would get frustrated and storm off leaving me to 'flick' the card holders up and down which was almost as satisfying as the 'popper' on the game Frustration!

My only critisms with this game is the fact that you can't buy extra cards for it so the characters get a bit predictable and you can only play with two people at a time unless you pair up.

One thing that would be great to do with this game is to get lots of photos of everyone you know and replace the original characters with them. I haven't done it but think it would be great fun and a real laugh.

All in all a simple but fun game which will pass half an hour!

Summary: It's one of my favourites!
