Advantages: Fun game for kids and adults

Disadvantages: None

Guess Who? is a two player 'guessing' game first manufactured in 1982 in America and is still as popular with children now as it was back then. The game is based on logic and is a perfect way to expand childrens minds to the idea of basic logic skills though the power of play in order to keep them interested.

=============
Before You Start
=============
The game can only be played with two players at a time. The game contains two identical boards - one red and one blue - with each player choosing a board. Each board contains 24 'flip up' cartoon style characters, each with different names, features and accessories. Both boards contain the same characters. To begin the game all your characters must be 'flipped up'.
The game also contains a pack of cards, again with the same 24 characters on them. Before you start the game each player must pick a card randomly from the pack and stand it at the front of their board remembering not to show your opposing player which character you have chosen. Your opposing player must do the same.

==============
Object Of The Game
==============
The aim of the game is to guess which character in on the card your partner has chosen and vice versa. You do this by using your game board containing all the characters within the pack of cards.
Taking it in turns you each have to ask each other questions to try and eliminate characters from your boards. The questions can only be answered with a yes or no.
For Example: You ask whether your partners card is male? They answer yes so your flip down all your female characters leaving only the male ones, eliminating all the female characters in the process.
You then go on to ask questions like eye colour, hair colour, do they wear a hat etc until you are left with only one charcter flipped up on your board.
If this character matches the one on their card then you have won the game, correctly guessing which character they had chosen at random at the start.
The one who guesses correctly first is the winner.

Conclusion
=========
This is a fun game for both adults and children and doesn't last too long, great for younger children with short attention spans. The first time you play can take a while to set up as you have to attach all the characters to the board but after that its a relatively simple game to set up and play.
As board games go it has an educational edge to it too. There are no small parts in the game that small children can choke on either.

Price
======
This is a relatively old game but is still fetching good money due to its continued popularity. I have found the game on Amazon for £8.99 with a travel version also available for £4.39 - perfect for keeping the kids amused on those long car journeys.
As usual other companies have jumped on the bandwagon and this game is also available with disney characters and the simpson charcters t give it a more modern touch though the format is still the same. These are available for around £16.99 but can supply hours of fun.

In summary a good traditional fun game that all ages can play and enjoy. I give this game a 5/5. Love it!!

Summary: The old games are always the best!!!
