Jenga is a very simple board game to play and the idea was created by Leslie Scott, and is produced and sold by the games manufacturer Hasbro.

It is a game that involves 54 rectangular shaped wooden blocks. To start the game you need to build it into a tower by placing the blocks in a three by three pattern.

The game starts with the person who built the tower taking a block from any row of the tower. The rest of the players then take turns in a clock wise direction. Each person takes a block from the tower and this continues until somebody takes a block from anywhere on the tower and it falls. When you take a block from anywhere on the tower you must add it to the top of the tower. You can't take a block from the top layer when it's your turn obviously because that would make it too easy! The last player to move a block without making the tower collapse wins. The loser is the person who made the tower fall , the one whose turn it was when the tower fell! Once the tower has fallen you have to rebuild it again to replay.

It is a fun game and it is very easy to play for the whole family, young and old. One bad thing about it is having to re stack everytime when the tower falls which can become a bit tedious to do. It combines both physical and mental skills as you have to think about what move to make and try to keep a steady hand and try to remove the block without making the tower collapse. It's a simple game to play but harder to play really well.It costs less than £10 to buy and is great little game to have around especially when playing with the family.
