Advantages: a quick entertainment

Disadvantages: fun would run out eventually

I had always been aware that the game of Jenga existed, but for some reason was never drawn to it. To me, it seemed like it would be fun for a minute but would very quickly be lost in a cupboard and forgotten about. It also appeared to take a very long time to set up all for it to come falling down on you again moments later.

My opinion was changed, however, when I went on holiday a few weeks ago. A few friends and I went on a package holiday and turned up at the hotel very excited. Just before leaving to go out that night, we were invited for a few drinks at the hotel bar by some of the staff. Guess what appeared before us on the table...only Jenga! It actually turned out to be a very amusing hour or so of not only playing the game but getting to know the staff there and a few of the other guests. Since that first night, we felt more at home in and around the hotel as it became a very friendly atmosphere over a game of Jenga.

I can see how a game such as Jenga can be quite entertaining and gives people something to chat about and around when first meeting, however I still hold my view that I wouldn't buy the game for my home.
