Advantages: fun, brings family together

Disadvantages: a bit boring

This is a game I've played since I was a child and I used to find it so enjoyable. It was before the days of Nintendo Wii and playstation 3 when people still used to sit around and play board games together, and this was a favourite in our house.

The idea of the game, is that you build a tower from the wooden blocks. We used to lay three blocks side by side then lay three ontop of those side by side but facing the opposite direction then keep doing this. When the tower is built, each person takes turns in pulling out a block, but it can't be from the top. The person who breaks the tower is the loser. It doesn't take very long to set up, about 2 minutes, so that isn't too bad.

I used to enjoy this game a lot as a youngster, but we have it in out cupboard, and neither of my children have ever bothered with it. I've played it with my daughter before and she got bored after one or two games and said it wasn't very interesting. There are similar games to this like Ker-plunk but that game takes ages to set up!

I personally think that this game is a classic game and I'll always like it, although it doesn't really interest the kids of today, not suprising really considering the technology that they have today.

There is also a giant jenga now that is mroe for use in the garden. It stands at 100cm tall. It looks like it could be a lot of fun and would be a good laugh at BBQ's or pool parties.

You can buy Jenga from shops like Asda, Toys R us and ebay. You can buy it for around £10.00 which isn't too bad for a classic game. It is a good game to get the family around the table which is rare these days, so I'd recommend it.

Summary: A good classic family game
