Another marble game which you have to avoid knocking down (Kerplunk)

Advantages: Great fun

Disadvantages: Plastic is very flimsy

I had kerplunk when I was a little girl and loved it but got easily bored of putting all those sticks in for it all to be over in seconds. I bought one for my daughter and it has now got a new design, the same year she did actually get one of the older styled ones too.

It comes in a quite a large box and inside it you will find various plastic bits to put together to make up the tower to put the sticks in, lots of sticks and lots of marbles.

It is very difficult for little ones to put together so you have to set up the tower and constantly put these dreaded sticks in to it and watch them pull them out in seconds! Well once the sticks are in you put the marbles in the top, then the aim is to try and avoid dropping any of the marbles as you pull the sticks out. The one with the least marbles is the winner. It doesn't quite work with my daughter though as she prefers to watch the marbles fall and then spin round the circular slide for her to pick them up. Looks more fun than the dull drop it used to be. The plastic is a lot cheaper feeling than it used to be so I don't think it will really last long.

This game is another one made by Hasbro and you can buy it from Amazon, Argos or Ebay for under £10 now which is much cheaper than it used to be.

Summary: great game but could do with it being more sturdy
