Advantages: great game for preschool children
Disadvantages: You need a CD player to play it
This is a fantastic game - my children were given this game when they were young - it came with a tape then! and I have subsequently bought many copies for party presents and friends children.
The idea is really simple you listen to the sound work out what it is and then cover up that picture if you have it on your card. The winner is the person who covers up all the pictures on their card.It really is 'sounds' bingo. It really is a great idea for children who cannot yet read but can recognise sounds. It is also a game that can be played by children and adults on an even basis so it means everyone has an equal chance of winning - and you don't have to let people win. Now that it comes on CD it is much better for giving random result than it ever was with a tape so it has even more play value now than it had before.
There are some really easy sound on there like cars, and tractors but then there are some more unusual sounds like someone sucking through a straw or blowing a balloon up.
This game is great for making children concentrate and for a little bit of peace and quiet because you have to be quiet to listen to the sounds. My children always had great fun playing this game and it really does make them more aware of their surroundings.
If you ever see this at a car boot sale pick a copy up you won't be disappointed or treat yourself and but a copy it can usually be picked up for just over £5.
Summary: A great game and lots of fun, loved by children and adults
