Advantages: Good design, long and short games, sturdy board construction
Disadvantages: Will get out of date eventually
We were given this game a couple of years ago as a present as we are all football mad in our house.
It follows the same standard process as most of the Scene it games. The board comes in the fold out version which makes three footballs. You need to make your way around the board answering either football trivia questions which are on cards supplied in the box or by answering questions displayed via the DVD. the questions on the DVD may involve answering a question on a piece of football footage, a picture or a simple question.
Obviously some of the questions do become a little dated which is always the danger with any game that based on sport or news etc. I assume that they update the game periodically but I'm not sure so it is probably worth checking on the box if it states which world cup the game includes.
The bit I quite like about the game is that you can play a long version - where the board opens out or a quick version with the board folded - quite a good design.
The questions are a little obscure at times so you do have to be quite knowledgeable at world cup trivia to play this game otherwise it can get a bit boring. The DVD part does capture the interest a bit more because you get to see the film clips.
The age range of this game is 13+ but if you have a young "Statto" then you would probably be OK
Summary: A good fottball game for the enthusiast
