Modern twist on a popular game.

Monopoly have brought out more "modern" versions of their well-loved board game lately, introducing varying themes and credit cards showing your budget in monopoly millions instead of a much lower denomination.

Sticking with a more futuristic theme, monopoly have created a circular board, with a central credit card panel, sound and screen features, and sleeker looking pieces. expanding on some of the changes made and my thoughts on the game:

      - Circular board. This time the board is circular. Covering all the same locations as the original game, all taking up small "slices" of the board.
      - Community Chest and Chance - these are still places on the board, but when you land on each one you press the corresponding button on the machine in the middle, where a sound effect will play relative to your chance, and the words will scroll across the screen informing you what needs to be done.
      - Credit cards. Paper money has been removed, and replaced with plastic credit cards which are put in the machine for any type of transaction, and the calculator-style screen is used to input money being taken away or received.
Pieces - Each piece is now a flat piece of clear plastic with a coloured picture of each traditional monopoly piece etched onto and, and mounted on a plastic base. Although they look more modern, they also feel light and cheap, and nothing compared to the metal pieces of old. They could have used a sturdier an shinier plastic.

All in all this game is fun, and gives a modern twist on the well loved game. But with all the noises and messing about with credit cards, it makes what is already a very long game, EVEN Longer.
