Advantages: Its monopoly......thats the advantage.

Disadvantages: quite complicated in some respects.

OK, so have you watched all those rather annoying property development shows..YES? Well, here you get to build houses and hotels with paper money and then charge you fellow opponents rent for landing on your property.

Obviously, there are various versions of monopoly but I like the London version with the traditional Mayfair and Park Lane.
Basically the aim of the game is to get the most money by buying property and building on them and collecting rent from other players, eventually they will end up with nothing left or you can set a time limit on the game and add up the money once the time had elapsed. Of course if you wait for one player to lose all their money and you are playing with numerous players, the game could take some time.

I always tend to buy the cheaper places like Kent Road becasue the houses are cheaper but the real big guns are Mayfair and Park Lane, which with hotels could end the game in one roll of a dice. It often works out that whoever owns these two properties wins the game.

As for the water and electric companies, I still don't understand them so in our games nobody buys them.

So if you want to play a game which gets you not only thinking but you get to be worth a fortune...play monopoly.

Summary: Money, money, money...must be funny..in a rich man's world!

Great Game - kids these days seem less interested probably probably because it does not make a noise or involve shooting bad guys!

Sorry to come back but you didn't explain the cards in the centre of the game and the fun you can have with them, or the prison and parking bit, or the 200 quid that you get when you pass go, and its significance to a player.
