Advantages: Fun to play

Disadvantages: Lack of leveraged loans

I have not played Monopoli for ages and actually not in UK, so I am not too familiar with the set up in this country, but the idea and general rule of the game is the same everywhere.

You can play between 2 and 6 players, you are given some money and some properties and you need to build your portfolio. People take turns tossing the dice and move along the board, at the beginning if they end up on a property which is free, they can buy it, later they will have to pay a fee to the owner.

There is luck and there is strategy.

Luck, because in my view there is surely an element of luck in the way the dices turn out, and strategy, because you need to bargain and buy cheap and sell high your properties and also be wise with your money.

I think that the modern version fo Monopoli should have a bank giving you a 125% mortgage and then the Government taking money from taxpayers and bail the bank out!

Summary: Monopoly, if you wish to build your property portfolio
