Monopoly is a great game. Each country has its own specific game designed with different streets. The same rules apply and these turn out to be very frustrating in the end. At the Irish Young Scientist, a few years ago, the winner was a study on the probability of Monopoly. He found that the last red house at the top right was the most probable to land on (as a single house) whereas the yellow houses block, also at the top right was the most probably block to land on. Strangely this happens a lot during the game so it is well worth sacrificing extra money to acquire the whole yellow block or the whole red block. Beware of the chance and community chest cards as by the end these become very dangerous with the taxing of all houses a regular killer. The most capitalist game ever invented and a terrific game.

- 20/05/01 Yeah, try to write ops a bit longer and clearer, but I'm new myself so I know it's a bit hard. There're good articles out there by Scotgirl and Cookie36 (and no doubt many others) on how to get the best from Dooyoo, so see those. Ben |

- 19/05/01 short and sweet...I agree with the previous comms. Have a look around some profiles for ideas on how vu opinions look (generally about 750 good words) - or there's a great tips section somewhere.
Capit alist! I totally agree. I'm a sucker for hotels on the brown group as there's nothing more satisfying than pinching someone's salary right as they get it. Mmmm. |
